Comparison Tips For Your Auto Insurance Shopping From Jacksonville-Auto.com
September 11, 2009
If you have only started your auto insurance search in Jacksonville, you should keep a few things in mind.
Begin by reading what your state requires that you carry for insurance. Most states insurance departments have a site that will list what exactly is necessary to become insured.
To determine a baseline for how much coverage you should need, first figure out what assets you own. If you have 100k worth of property, it is worth it to carry insurance valued at $100k.
Go by your department of motor vehicles, should you not be able to remember, and ask for a statement of your past driving history. This will help you figure out what kind of premiums you can expect to pay.
By reviewing your most recent auto insurance printout, you can figure out where your money is going. This will help you determine where you can adjust your rates to save you money.
Online auto insurance comparison sites are good to utilize when you are searching for quotes. One of the bigger names is www.InsWeb.com.
Now that you have a few quotes that you got on the web, it is time to start calling agents. Develop a list of a few questions that you need answered during the interview.
Have you been a safe driver for a long time? What about not letting your premiums lapse? If you believe you may qualify for discounts, don’t be afraid to ask! You probably do qualify for a few!
Don’t forget to take a glance at company rating websites like JDPower to figure out where your prospective insurance agent stands. Take a look at how they deal with complaints and when it is time to file a claim.
Now that you have figured out where you want to purchase your updated auto insurance premiums, make sure you cancel your old policy! Get something in black and white saying that you canceled the policy, and not your insurance agent!

The Ford Expedition – Very Functional
September 11, 2009
The Ford Expedition is amazing and practical for anyone with a large family or carries a lot of items at a time. We purchased one a few months back and after driving a van, a car and even a truck I wouldn’t give it up for anything. We had test drove several Ford Explorers but nothing had room like the Ford Expedition. We ended up purchasing a 2006 model that had around 63, 000 miles on it. Even with the mileage and years our Ford Expedition looked brand new on the inside and out.
The newer 2010 Ford Expeditions start with a basic package which includes, power door locks, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with CD player, power windows, cruise control, a roof rack, tilt steering wheel, front and back windshield wipers and automatic transmission. The newer Ford Expeditions start around $35, 000 thousand dollars and go up as much as $50, 000 depending on what options you want.
Most Ford Expeditions come standard with 3rd row seating which seats 9 passengers comfortably. We have a family of 7 and it is nice to all load up and still have room to carry extra people. It is nice to be able to go to the grocery store or on vacation and not be crammed in and still have room.
I have been very impressed with the Ford Expedition it drives smooth, handles well and even can tow a pontoon boat with no problems. Our Expedition had a tow package on it so we are able to hook our pontoon up and take it anywhere.
The gas mileage has been approximately 17 miles a gallon and costs around 40-45. 00 to fill it up. The only downside or problem that I have had is that we live so far out in the country that we have to fill up sooner than I would like to. But overall it is well worth it and I can easily overlook the gas mileage because of all its other features.
All Ford Expeditions comes with 4 doors so that you have easy access to climbing in and out. The Ford Expedition also has a sporty look because with all the features they also come with running boards which make climbing into the Ford Expedition easy.
I would have to highly recommend the Ford Expedition to anyone looking for a great sport utility vehicle. The only feature that I don’t like is that the gas tank is a little smaller and we live far out into the country so we find ourselves filling up a little more often that I would like. The Ford Expedition is well worth the price.

The Long Life Of The Ford Escort
September 11, 2009
Two-plus decades of the Ford Escort seemed to have gone by in the blink of an eye after it was introduced to the North American market back in 1981 as Ford’s first “world car.” Up to that time, Ford had largely been unsuccessful in making compact vehicles that would be widely accepted by its customers; the Escort would change that.
The Escort had a very successful run of things, lasting through the end of the 2003 model year, when it was finally succeeded by its replacement, the Focus. Initially, the Escort was almost completely based off of a European model of the same name, though it was redesigned before introduction to the domestic market for the 1981 model year.
The Ford Escort was also the company’s first front-wheel-drive car, and it replaced Ford’s subcompact Pinto, which had been in production since 1971 and had been through several controversies which impacted sales of that model. In the 1980s, the Escort was one of Ford’s most successful models. In fact, it was so well-liked that it was the single best selling car in the United States by its second year and for most of the 1980s.
In all, the Escort carried on through three generations of increasingly improved vehicles and body styles that reflected the age in which the car was built. It was offered in a number of different engine and transmission combinations, even including a 52 hp diesel engine and a higher performance turbocharged model that delivered 120 hp, which was a fairly robust engine, given the Escort’s relatively small size.
Over the course of the third, and last, generation (1997-2202), the engineers at Ford had put it all together, creating an admired small car that could put out nice performance using its four-cylinder engines and also show off relatively attractive sheet metal that appealed to a lot of customers.
There were more than a few body styles that the Escort sported throughout its life; three-door hatchbacks were very popular for a time, as were a number of different station wagons and four-door sedans. Additionally, a few different sport coupe models — starting in 1998 — were thrown into the mix, with the Blue Oval folks working to keep the interiors and exteriors fresh and up-to-date.
The Ford Escort filled a vital niche for the Dearborn Michigan automaker at its introduction in throughout over two decades of life. It’s allowed Ford to experiment with compact vehicles while also delivering healthy sales that The Ford nameplate out in front and in the minds of a great many consumers. For these reasons, the little compact Ford can’t be considered anything else but a success.

Benefits of Combining Home and Auto Insurance
September 11, 2009
Home insurance and auto insurance are two types of insurance that nearly all people will need at some point in their lives. When you have a number of different insurance policies, the cost of premiums can quickly become a financial hardship. When it comes to insurance, we all want to get the best deal and the best coverage. One of the best ways to save money on your insurance costs is to combine your home and auto insurance with one insurance provider.
Combining your home and auto insurance policies with a single insurer can greatly reduce your premium. According to the Insurance Information Institute, “combining your home and auto insurance policies could save you up to 15 percent on both premiums.” To compete for your business, many insurance providers provide discounts to customers who buy both home and auto insurance with them.
Combining both home and auto insurance can drastically reduce your premium coverage payments to insure the contents of our homes from fire, theft etc, the structure of your home in the event of fire, wind, and other types of damage covered under the terms of the policy. As well, you will have insurance for your vehicle in the event of an accident, especially liability, collision, theft, and vandalism. The majority of insurance companies that offer combined home and auto insurance coverage will bill you for both policies at once. This means you will make one payment each month.
The best way to find a cheap home and auto insurance rate is to search online. The fastest and simplest way to locate a combined cheap home and auto insurance policy is to compare home and auto insurance quotes using an online insurance comparison tool. There are many insurance sites that offer this comparison tool for free with no obligations to purchase. All that you have to do is fill out a quick quote form and then you receive several insurance quotes. You can then pick the best insurance policy that meets your needs.
When you combine your home and auto insurance, you will not only save money, but you will have the added convenience of one insurance package, one payment to make each month, one renewal date, and one single deductible that will apply in the event of a claim is made.
As with any type of insurance, it is important to do your research. You should find out how a company ranks in terms of how well they pay their claims and how strong they are financially. You should also read the insurance policy carefully so that you know exactly what you are covered for and how much the provider will pay for a claim. It is important to remember that having the right amount of coverage outweighs the cost of inadequate coverage.
Anyone with a home and vehicle needs to be protected by having insurance. With the current unstable economic market, it just makes sense to save money by combining both your home and auto insurance policy.
When it comes to finding auto insurance quotes, you will need to provide a lot of information. This is a necessary process for driving, as having auto insurance is required by law.
