All About American Muscle Cars
September 12, 2009
There are so many folks in the world that have shown their American pride by involving themselves in some way to American muscle cars. American muscle cars have always been the most popular auto, and no matter how hard those that cannot comprehend the feeling of the individual behind the wheel of these American muscle cars, try to take away the freedom associated with the muscle car generation away, it won’t happen.
There are laws being kicked around in legislation at the present time attempting to limit the amount of big block motors and very pleasurable sounding exhausts which were initially found on the American muscle cars, to become obsolete from the automobile world. This is a lame attempt by third world country leaders to diminish the American lifestyle.
A perfect illustration of how allowing the entire world cultures into American sports, is the Toyota being involved in NASCAR. NASCAR was founded on the idea of stock car racing. Although, originally NASCAR was dirt tracks, versus paved tracks currently. The original NASCAR existed owing to the tremendous amount of competitive American muscle cars. There were no Toyotas, in the 60’s and 70’s when American muscles cars were the strongest automobiles on the planet.
There can be a sufficient amount of money tied up in the preservation or restoration of any of the muscle cars for personal pleasure. However, from the hobbiest’s point of view, owning and driving cars from the muscle car era is considered payment in full.
The paints which were used originally were unique. The colors of reds, greens, blues, were very explicit and can be very hard to find. Candy apple red is one of the most expensive paints available for restoration of muscle cars, but when the color is applied to a muscle car such as the vintage sixties mustang, coordinated with the wide racing stripes the color is well worth the money.
The finished product when restoring any muscle car, is worth the time, money, and preparation. The finished product symbolizes a persons determination to live like everyone lived in the original era which produced the American muscle cars. The feeling that comes from operating one’s choice of muscle cars, is in deed the only true feeling of being free from everyday stresses.
The muscle cars still in existence are still able to give modern day vehicles a run for their money in a simple quarter mile, but the sound is the ticket. There is no sound like the exhaust of a mustang, these muscle cars have been in existence for well over thirty years, and V-8 mustangs still have the same sound that turns the head of any motor head in any area, no matter of the age of the person listening.

Kasey Kahne Wins Big NASCAR Sprint Cup Race
September 12, 2009
Kasey Kahne’s prospects for making the Sprint Cup increased immensely after he won a giant race on Sunday in Atlanta.
Beforehand, Kahne found himself at 11th for the season in the chase for the cup, but this victory jumped him 5 places, all the way into 6th place. With the playoffs made up of 12 racers and merely one race remaining until the playoffs are made firm, Kahne’s prospects of reaching the post-season attempt notably more realistic than they formerly did.
At some point in the course of the race, it seemed like it was Kevin Harvick’s race to victory Harvick, who emerged victorious at the Nationwide race the night before, was looking good until Clint Bowyer ran into danger with merely 15 laps left. Bowyer, Harvick’s teammate, killed his chances for capturing the event, as Kahne took advantage of the caution and finished first by just under two seconds.
Harvick, who ended in 2nd place, just fell short of his first victory during the ‘09 race year. finishing in 3rd place was Juan Pablo Montoya, who is now striving for his 1st playoff berth and looks like he may be able to pull it off.
Kahne was pleased with the race overall. Happy with the auto, he attributed his glory in the race to the car’s performance – and naturally, a bit of assistance with respect to Kevin Harvick’s struggles.
Ending up in sixth at the event was Denny Hamlin. With this result, Hamlin is currently the 4th NASCAR driver to secure a playoff spot in the chase for the cup. Hamlin joins Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and of course, Jimmy Johnson, who has won the most recent three seasons.
When asked about his prospects, Kahne showed nice hopefulness.
Having had the privilege of a great performing auto throughout the event, Kahne credits its stability to his triumph in the race.
Though there was a little change between the 12 seeds for the Chase, no one was removed from the top 12 last weekend. The lead is held by Tony Stewart, with Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson close back. Additional drivers include Denny Hamlin, Carl Braylon, Kurt Busch, Kasey Kahne, and five others. Holding the 13 and fourteen slot are Brian Vickers and Kyle Busch, who both must have huge performances next weekend if they would like a chance at the cup.

The TomTom ONE GPS: Is it the Only One You Need?
September 12, 2009
TomTom is a company that is widely recognized for its TomTom GO models that have gotten better every year at providing the most sophisticated technology for accessible and reasonably priced appliances. Even though they haven’t produced any upgraded TomTom GO devices this year, people still keep buying the existing products because they live up to their standards in terms of performance and ease of use. The only problem that certain GPS fans face is the price tag. Another model to consider is the Garmin 7200 StreetPilot GPS.
The TomTom ONE GPS offers the response to this issue. The TomTom ONE is a different product for consumers who need to conserve money but appreciate the TomTom’s functionality. TomTom ONE actually has several models, like XL models which are widescreen. However, only the original TomTom ONE can be purchased in the US. The TomTom ONE has been known for its very low price, as well as its lack of applications and lukewarm quality. Happily, the 2nd edition came along with appreciable design and software enhancements, relieving us of the hopelessly inadequate model. This review will be concerned with the updated 2nd edition.
Look and Design
Looks could be everything, and TomTom ONE is able to look attractive with its small and clean look with a attractively curved top. The TomTom ONE GPS is compact enough to be carried one-handed and is able to slip into someone’s pocket. Only by looking at it, most people aren’t going to think that this TomTom ONE GPS is an inexpensive model.
Setup Process
The setup method is fairly simple thanks to its plug and play functionality, and therefore you will be able to work with the GPS unit directly after you unpack it. There is one part when you will be required to initiate the product online, which won’t be explained in detail in the manual. However; you should be able to get everything you need in terms of activation in the complete manual found exclusively on the CD. Once you activate your new device, you will be ready for travel.
Navigational Features
The TomTom ONE is very accurate when it comes to positioning and recalculating as you move along. Now and then you could notice it a bit off by 25 to 50 meters, although it still performs more accurately than the other budget handheld models available. This device’s routing capabilities are outstanding also, and you won’t get too many of those annoying instructions to double back occasionally. It won’t identify the best route available, but it will find a sensible one. The maps that TomTom provides include a wide array of POIs, yet some of the signs may not be part of the map, so make an effort to keep the maps updated.
Other Features
This device’s sound quality is up to standard even at top volume, during times that other models distort. The display and enhanced user interface are a refreshing change and should probably induce more customers into giving the TomTom ONE a spin. The battery life is less than ideal, lasting just above 2 hours, and it is provided with only a USB and car charger. Another solid car GPS unit is the Garmin 7200 StreetPilot GPS.
The TomTom ONE is offered for a great price and this GPS’s most significant functions perform quite well. Take a look at this device as your next GPS product if you truly need to save money.
