The summer months are always a popular time to rent a vehicle as many people are traveling with the family in tow and want to take with them a larger, more reliable vehicle. In an attempt to save wear and tear on their own car, many families opt to rent a mini-van or SUV for their family holiday making this a prime rental time and definitely a more expensive time, as vehicles are in a higher demand.

Around Christmas vehicles are also more expensive to rent. Many people prefer to rent a car for your holiday travel plans, either for the reasons listed above, or because they are concerned about the reliability of their vehicles every day during the coldest months of winter. Taking a holiday in September can be the perfect way to get away for less and since most people are preparing for the winter and school there are usually even more openings to take vacation time from work. Vacations are rarely taken during the month of September. Sure you may have to arrange your travel with the children’s school and get their work in advance but you will find that it is well worth waiting until September to take that trip to the beach or take that holiday abroad.
